Instead of running around the stores on Black Friday and today, we opted to give our living room and dining room a makeover!
Here are the Before pics --
This is our hallway – it was a really dark green color (with lots of spackling)
Here’s the living room and the dining room – all spackled and ready to paint:
Here’s the new paint in the hallway leading to Zoe’s room:
Here’s our dining room with the new paint:
And here’s the rest of the living room (or most of it, anyway) with the new paint:
We’re REALLY happy with how it came out. We loved the red color that we had before, but it was time for a change. I have some art and photos to hang back up, plus I’m going to work on a new painting or two for the room, too. Should be fun! That might not happen for a while, though, since I have a table and chairs to still paint and a couple of handmade gifts to work on first. But it feels great to have it all done. We brought Zoe home (she stayed at my parents’ house), and she was so surprised to see the new color. It was really cute. It’s amazing how much the yellow really brightened the whole room. It’s still warm, but in a different way.
Just wanted to share!

Great job! We love the new color - looks great; but something is missing.....where are all Zoe's toys?
Grandma and Grandpa
It looks great! So funny how paint can make such a difference, well done for getting it finished so fast.
I'm so glad you shared! I love the new sunny, warm color. Its such a contrast from the red (although I loved that too!).
