Zoe’s favorite books right now are Llama Llama Red Pajama and anything by Todd Parr. She loves The Daddy Book, The Family Book. The I Love You Book, and We Belong Together: A Book about Adoption and Families. This is a picture of her reading that last book with us at bedtime:
We have such a routine down now for bedtime. Zoe brushes her teeth and she practically runs into her room. She always playfully tries to shut the door on us and giggles as she does it. She looks for some books to read in her basket that sits next to her dresser. We used to read just one but now we’re up to 3-4, depending on the night. And sometime mid-December, she decided that instead of it just being her in her bed, she wanted about 7 or 8 of her fuzzy friends to join her! The Zoe doll above is from Grandma, the Jesse doll is from Mom-Mom Cheryl, and Hello Kitty (or just Cat, as Zoe calls her) is from her birthmom.
She loves to have her teddy bear with her – that’s the same teddy that her birthmom has from us. And Elmo and at least 4 or 5 other dolls are in bed with her, too. She loves to be covered up in all her quilts that she has been given, and we tell her who each and every one of them is from. She loves it.
I love the picture of her at the easel. She goes to it each and every morning now and works on a new picture. She’s excited and wants us to join in!
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how grateful I feel that I get to be this little girl’s mom. I couldn’t be any prouder of her than I am each and every day. She’s such a sweet little person. I love when she gives me her ‘baby bear hugs’ (and says it with a teeny tiny voice) and her ‘big bear hugs’ (and says that with a cute growly voice.) I love when she asks if she can help me – she wants to help me with whatever I’m doing at the time. And I love when she just wants me to hold her. It seems like I got to do that a lot over the past week and a half with her getting over her cold. I love seeing the world through her eyes each and every day.

So sweet! I love that Zoe has dolls, quilts, etc and they are so special to her. She's such a doll! I'm sure you have such an amazing time with Zoe. So glad you're sharing it with us, too. :-)
