The fun begins...

I had my cd3 bw and u/s today. They said my estrogen was 53.7 and my FSH was 6.7. When the tech checked my follicles, she said I had 7 under 8mm. I'm wondering if 7 is kind of low and if this is my official antral follicle count. (Questions I should have asked then, but didn't.) I start bcp tonight. The IVF nurse is out of the office until May 5th, so when she gets back she'll write up the rest of my protocol and give it to me. I'll most likely be on bcp for about a month before I start any actual shots.

So exciting that you are moving forward!! Your b/w sounds great. Hope the bcps don't treat you too horribly. I hate those evil little pills. LOL.

Good luck with your upcoming cycle! It must be exciting / scary / nerve wracking to try again.

I have really enjoyed reading your blog. While my journey hasn't been nearly as hard as yours, it has been a rough 7 years. I finally got pregnant naturally 6 months ago, found out it was ectopic, lost my left tube and then was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I am now waiting on Day One so I can start my first in vitro cycle! Your posts have really helped me to understand the in vitro process and to know that other women are feeling the same emotions that I am. I will definitely keep following your story. Best of luck to you and your husband!

Brenda - Thanks! The bcps have been okay. I take them at night and they don't seem to bother me. (I used to take them all the time, though, so maybe that's why they don't bother me.)

Amy and Jill - Thanks!

Suztodd - I'm sorry to hear all that you have been through, especially the ectopic. I have also been diagnosed with thyroid issues (an underactive one) and I take meds for it. I guess I've been on them for about 6 years or so. Good luck with your upcoming in vitro. One of the hardest things for me before IVF #1 was waiting for the first cycle to start! I wish you all the best.
