I wanted to say thank you to everyone who left a comment after my last post. It is so nice to read (and re-read) all of them!
About 3 or 4 people asked me if we know if it's a boy or a girl...we don't actually know. It's going to be a surprise - very exciting! We have narrowed down our lists of names for a boy and a girl, but I think we'll be keeping that a secret. Lots of surprises in September! (I'll certainly take suggestions, though, if you have any names you want to throw out there!)
Things are going very well here. We are just so so happy!

I always thought that we would keep the sex of our baby a surprise...it's one of the last great surprised in the world! I definitely would keep the name a surprise! You must be having so much fun prepping for baby!! SO EXCITED!!
I think that's so much more fun to NOT know the sex of the baby. So happy for you!
September is SO CLOSE!!!
(If we ever have a child, I prefer not to know the gender in advance!)
Hoping everything continues to go well. We didn't know the gender of our baby either. One piece of unasked for advice. Don't buy too much green and yellow stuff. We bought a bunch of green and yellow stuff then promptly went out and bought a bunch of boy stuff as soon as he was born. Its amazing hearing the doctor tell you if you have a son or daughter.
i remember this timeframe of our journey so well! it was the most exciting and also nervewracking time! :) i loved FINALLY being able to talk about names for OUR baby. :)september is just around the corner and it will go so quickly! :) congratulations again!! :)
That is so awesome. I am very happy for you and suprises are great and exciting. :)
Wow!!! Your baby will be here soon!! Summer just flies on by.
So happy for you! :)
Much better to have a surprise. My DH was supposed to be a girl and, well, my mother-in-law was very surprised when the doctor said, "It's a boy!"
Wendy, I've been following your blog from work so I'm not able to post comments (it's blocked) but I made a special point to log on from home so I could let you know that I had tears and goosebumps when I read that you have been matched. I think of you often and pray that you will be blessed with a little miracle soon. I'm so happy for you, you are in my continued thoughts and prayers!!
We did not find out the sex of our daughter and it was such an awesome surprise when she was born, it was great telling everyone "Natalie Grace is here" since we didn't share names either. It's one of the last surprises in my opinion. I agree with KLTTX though - since we didn't know we got a lot of green and yellow and I washed everything we got in our excitement only to find out how SICK of green and yellow I would get. As soon as she was born we started getting packages from friends and family and we got a TON of pink and girly stuff that the green and yellow stuff quickly made it to the back of the closet. My advice (although you didn't ask) is to keep tags on things - especially things that won't be worn right in the beginning. And another piece of advice is that you can never have enough bibs - seriously, I thought we had a million but when Natalie started teething I finally understood the bibs, she drools like crazy and we are changing them often so she isn't sitting with a wet bib under her chin but the bib protects her clothes from getting soaked. Anyway, I'm so thrilled for you both. I'm so anxious to follow your blog and hear about your good news in the weeks to come.

Gosh, I'm SO excited for you! I remember it all....it's such an exciting time. I didn't sleep for a month straight because I was so geeked!!! :)
Erica -- So far it's been fun figuring out what we should get prior to the baby being here. Our agency suggests that you not get a lot of stuff ahead of time. We're really just trying to figure out what we should get - things like a car seat, a few diapers...you know, stuff like that!
RB - thanks so much!
Me! - :) It IS close, isn't it! We always figured that if we got pg we wouldn't find out the gender, either. So much fun to have the surprise!
KLTTX -- I can understand being being sick of green and yellow clothing! Makes sense. The few things I have picked up (and family members have picked up) have tended to be green, yellow, and white. We'll wait and see if it's a boy or girl and then add to it in September! That will be even more fun!
Jamie - We've talked about names for 3 years now! But only recently did it feel more real, you know? I had said to Steve about a month or so (maybe even just a couple weeks) prior to being picked that we should really narrow down our choices. Just in case we were picked and a birth mom wanted to know our ideas. :)
From the Stork and Birthmothertalks -- You're right - the summer is flying by at this point! Faster than I can believe!
Jenny - Your MIL must have been SO surprised!
Amy - Thanks so much! I love your daughter's name - so pretty! I have a couple bibs that were gifts, but I'm not sure it's nowhere near what we'll actually need! Also, like I said above, the clothes that we do have are pretty much green and yellow. I won't cut tags off them, though, like you said - good idea!
Rebekah - We went for about 5 days without sleeping much at all! I'm still not sleeping well - I keep dreaming things and waking up through the night. Then I can't sleep in the mornings either - my mind keeps racing!
So very happy for you!!!
MUST POST NURSERY pictures SOON!! Or, if you haven't started a nursery, then at least post about your thoughts, etc. WE woman LOVE this stuff!!!!!!
(smile)
I'm so excited to read about your recent news! So exciting and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you both!
I am usually a lurker, but this is too good to pass up!
Congratulations you two! I will be keeping you in my prayers!
I'm all for surprises too! I would rather not know, if I had a choice. Looking forward to following the rest of your journey to your child...
I love surprises too!!! How exciting for you all!
